You are eligible to stay at our House if:
- You live outside a 50-mile radius of Little Rock.
- Your child is 21 years of age or younger.
- Your child is being served for a physical illness or injury.
- You are an adult receiving outpatient cancer treatments at local cancer facilities.
How Do I Get Admitted?
The Arkansas House only takes referrals from the hospital Family/ Patient Representative. If you are interested in staying at our House, please speak with your Representative or call us at 501-374-1956. If rooms are available we will put you in touch with someone at the hospital.
About the House
The Ronald McDonald House® of Arkansas is a 24 bedroom, one bedroom apartment, non-smoking facility. The House is handicapped accessible.
We Provide:
- One private bedroom with lavatory per family for up to four family members
- A one-bedroom apartment for long term families
- Bed and bath linens
- Three fully equipped, double kitchen areas
- Free laundry facilities
- Common areas with TV and VCR
- Children's inside and outside play areas
- Library
You Provide:
- $10 per night contribution. If you are unable to meet this request, talk to your social worker to make special arrangements. No family is ever turned away because of inability to pay.
- Care for your children. We cannot provide child care.
What Is The Check-In Procedure?
Once your Family/ Patient Representative has reserved a room for you, you are free to check in anytime between the hours of 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. No admissions will be accepted between 7:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. without prior approval.
Where Is The House Located?
The House is located at 1009 Wolfe Street, one block south of Arkansas Children's Hospital on the west side of Marshall Street. Click here for driving directions to the house.
