The Ronald McDonald House® of Arkansas is a home away from home for families whose child is being served at Arkansas Children’s Hospital, or for some adults who are receiving outpatient cancer treatments at the Arkansas Cancer Research Center or Central Arkansas Radiation Therapy Institute.
The House was built to provide a homelike atmosphere for families facing the stress and anguish of medical treatment for their child. It is a meeting place for families in medical crisis to come together and share their experiences, fears, and ultimately, their love and hope with each other.
This year we honor 29 years of serving families in need throughout Arkansas, the United States and around the world. Nearly 19,000 families have been served since opening our doors. We sincerely extend our greatest appreciation and thanks to the many volunteers, contributors and, of course, all the families who have helped us reach this milestone in the history of our House.
